Excessive intestinal gas?
I’ve recently been having a lot of gas, which doesn’t lead to belching but to flatulence. It really stinks, and I want to know what could be causing it. I haven’t made any changes to my diet, so I don’t think that could be it, but I’ll give you a list of what I’ve eaten yesterday and today just in case.
YESTERDAY:
Breakfast:
Oatmeal w/ cinnamon
1/2 of a banana
an apple
16 oz. of fat-free milk
Lunch:
A morningstar veggie burger w/ mustard & lettuce on a whole wheat bun
an apple
a go-gurt
Snack:
candy corn
Dinner:
A morningstar veggie burger on a whole wheat bun w/ mustard and lettuce
SunChips
A plum
A go gurt
TODAY:
Breakfast:
Honey nut cheerios
2 plums
Any idea what could be causing it?
Some of the most common flatulence makers are milk/yogurt (which you seem to be having A LOT of), beans, gum and high fiber foods like brocolli (and I imagine oatmeal could be a part of this as well.) Try bringing it down to 8 oz of milk and one yogurt. I’d also try adding some more veggies and protein in your diet as well.
