Nuts are one of the most ancient foods and have been used for thousands of years in all kinds of recipes and in ceremonies  and celebrations. Nuts are now appearing in all kinds of things including muffins and cup cakes and almond meal is just one of the many ingredients in lots of cakes as well as Indian foods among others.
